Fall Brunch and Antiques

This Saturday I hosted our Annual Fall Brunch that my friend Mindy and I have done for the past 7 years.  We gather all our new and old friends together and celebrate friendships and bring in the season.   Below is my awesome best friend Sue (on left) and my wonderful, wonderful sister (on right)!

Sue, me and Joy
See the purple color I posted about for this fall's popular color and trend  is true!
The house was all ready for fall and I love being in my home surrounded by all my friends!  I count it to be a blessing!
We had quiche from Central Market, girlie salad, pumpkin muffins and to top it off Mindy made Chocolate cake filled with chocolate pudding and chocolate chips!  Thank you Central Market & Mindy for making hosting easy.
I promised those friends who couldn't come to the brunch that I'd post pictures of the house for you to see.  These are for you!
The best part of the whole morning for me was to hear the laughter, cackle and plain fun that I heard throughout my home.  Filled my heart with gratefulness and joy.  What's a home without friends and family to enjoy it with you!
Even my neighbor across the street had her fall decor out!
Added this fur broach to my pillow!
Above my refrigerator.  Lamps always add so much ambiance above the fridge.
Yeah for the kid area UPSTAIRS.
Ledge in entry.  You've seen posts about these objects that mean so much to me.
Thanks for all those that joined us for a fun day!

On another note.... On Saturday, The Red Shed Antiques was featured in the Dallas Morning News in the Home section.  Those of you that read my blog know that I love this local place in Grapevine.  There is a great article about Michele McKechnie and the Red Shed!  You can read it here.
So cool to read about how she overcame Cancer and made her life more enjoyable because of it.  So beautiful when people blossom through hard times.  So incredibly inspiring and to be admired!

The Red Shed will be closed until Oct. 31, when it opens from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for its Blanc and Noir With a Touch of Pink French flea market sale. You don't want to miss this sale!!!!  Decorator's come from all over the metroplex to scope it out!
